Join the Board!
Upon completion of the first term, members may be appointed for an additional two-year term.
We meet six times a year. Our fall planning meeting comprises half of a Saturday. Remaining meetings are held weekdays during the evening or lunchtime hours. In-person participation is strongly encouraged, but may also occur via conference call, web-enabled conferencing, or other means as appropriate.
We require 100% participation in giving as a powerful example of alumni leadership. Emory’s fiscal year is September 1 – August 31. Gifts-in-kind do not count toward the annual giving requirement.
Carefully avoid any perception of a conflict of interest.
This includes lodging and other expenses while attending board meetings. Expenses incurred by board members for travel and lodging can be counted as a gift-in-kind for charitable giving purposes (forms are available upon request).
This includes assisting in nominating alumni for awards and board membership.
Represent Rollins at university, school, and local chapter events. Support the local chapter whenever possible.
In the community, a leader among alumni, and a mentor to students.
