Program Overview
MPH Concentrations
Students in the MDiv/MPH Dual Degree program may earn their MPH in the following concentrations:
- Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences
- Environmental Health
- Epidemiology
- Global Epidemiology
- Health Policy & Management
Curriculum
MDiv/MPH Curriculum
The dual degree program may be completed in four years. The first year is spent at the Candler School of Theology, the second year at Rollins School of Public Health, and the third and fourth years are completed at Candler. Student must complete a minimum of 72 hours at Candler and a minimum of 32 hours at Rollins.
MDiv/ MPH dual degree students may complete the MPH practicum requirement by adapting their clinical contextual education placement to an activity relevant for public health.
Admissions
Admissions Requirements
Candidates for this program must apply to both Candler School of Theology and Rollins separately.
In addition to the SOPHAS application, all applicants will need to submit the following materials when applying to the MPH:
- Personal statement that addresses your interest in the field of public health and your specific interest in the Rollins School of Public Health and your concentration of interest
- College transcripts
- Two letters of recommendation
- Resume
The GRE is not required for admission and will not be considered as part of the application for admission. Academic departments may have additional requirements.
