Funding Opportunities

The Rollins School of Public Health offers merit, mission, and institutional grants to help students fund their graduate degree.

Recognizing Achievement and Potential

Our funding opportunities recognize academic achievement and leadership potential within public health. Each year, Rollins awards about seven million dollars in aid to students. We are committed to supporting as many students as possible. Scholarships are awarded in the first year of enrollment and in most cases spread evenly over the course of enrollment.

Scholarship Guidelines

Rollins merit, mission-aligned, and institutional scholarships are not cumulative or refundable. Applicants who are eligible for more than one of these awards will receive the award that is of the greater amount.

Employees of Emory University and Emory Healthcare who are eligible to receive tuition benefits are not eligible for merit, mission-aligned, and institutional awards.

Students enrolled part-time are also not eligible for merit, mission, and institutional awards.

DrPH students are awarded separately and thus ineligible for these awards.

Additional applications are not required for any of our scholarships. Students who meet the priority deadline are automatically considered for merit and all other awards. Applicants who meet the criteria for mission and institutional awards will be notified. Mission-aligned awards will be allocated on a rolling basis until funds are depleted.

The funding process for graduate school can seem complex. Many students are navigating this process independently for the first time. We are here to help.

If you are a prospective applicant, current applicant, or admitted student and have general scholarship questions, contact the Office of Admissions at sphadmissions@emory.edu or 404-727-3956. If you are a finalist for a merit scholarship and have questions, please contact Emily Lakemaker, director of admissions and recruitment at emily.lakemaker@emory.edu
