Students in the online part-time MPH in Health Policy gain a broad understanding of how federal, state, and local policies shape the U.S. health care system. Graduates leave prepared for health policy work across disciplines from industry to government to the nonprofit sector.
Curriculum
Required Courses
The MPH in Health Policy is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of how federal, state, and local policies shape the U.S. health care system. In addition to core courses, students in this program take a concentrated set of courses in a particular field (e.g., vulnerable populations, health outcomes).
The online part-time MPH in Health Policy curriculum requires a total of 42 credit hours, including:
- The completion of a capstone course (HPM 575) and related capstone paper
- 200 hours working in an applied practice experience
Part-time programs are structured around 5-6 credit hours per semester with a total of 42 credit hours to complete the degree.
Our structure allows flexibility to increase or decrease the number of credits you take each semester to accommodate your schedule and still complete the degree within the required time limit of five years.

Admissions
Admissions Requirements
In addition to the SOPHAS application, all applicants will need to submit the following materials when applying to the online, part-time MPH in Health Care Management:
- Personal statement
- College transcripts
- Two letters of recommendation
- Resume
The GRE is not required for admission and will not be considered as part of the application for admission.
