Program Overview
The fully online, 12-month Master of Public Health in Global Health lets students build their program management, research, and leadership skills, enhance their knowledge of global health issues, and advance their career with an MPH earned in our most flexible, accelerated format.
Curriculum
Required Courses
An MPH in Global Health requires 42 credit hours of coursework, including an applied practice experience and integrative learning experience.
This program is offered fully online in three semesters over the course of 12 months—fall, spring, and summer.

Admissions
Admissions Requirements
We seek students who are passionate about global health and wish to improve the health of their local and global communities. Our students have demonstrated this commitment through careers, service, or training in advancing global health. This might include working with underserved communities or within a local state or regional public health entity (either domestically or internationally), volunteer or mission experience, or service with Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, etc.
As part of the SOPHAS application, all applicants will need to submit the following materials when applying to the MPH in Global Health:
- Personal statement
- Resume
- Two letters of recommendation
- College transcripts
The GRE is not required for admission and will not be considered as part of the application for admission.
The personal statement should:
- In 1,500 words or less, share with us your personality, diverse cultural and lived experiences, and summarize your commitment to global health.
- Explain what you hope to achieve with your public health degree.
- Explain the reason why you would like to attend the Hubert Department of Global Health at the Rollins School of Public Health.
Funding Your Online Accelerated MPH in Global Health
All students who apply by the January 5, 2026, priority deadline will receive a guaranteed $30,000 funding package. Applications must be completed and verified with all supporting documents by the priority deadline.
This package includes:
- A $25,000 tuition scholarship
- A $5,000 applied practice experience award
