Program Overview
The fully online, 15-month Master of Public Health in Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences allows students to receive training in health promotion methods and theories, program planning and evaluation, and principles of community engagement on an accelerated timeline and from wherever they are.
Curriculum
Required Courses
An MPH in Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences requires 42 credit hours of coursework, including an applied practice experience and integrative learning experience.
This program is offered fully online in three semesters over the course of 15 months—fall, spring, and fall.

Admissions
Admissions Requirements
We firmly believe that each student brings unique skills and talents that enhance and contribute to the BSHES community. Thus, we consider all aspects of your application in the review process.
Evidence of quantitative skill and writing ability must be expressed in the application.
In addition to the SOPHAS application, all applicants will need to submit the following materials when applying to the MPH in BSHES:
- Personal statement that addresses your interest in the field of public health and your specific interest in the Rollins School of Public Health and BSHES.
- College transcripts
- Two letters of recommendation
- Resume
The GRE is not required for admission and will not be considered as part of the application for admission.
Funding Your Online Accelerated MPH in BSHES
All students who apply by the January 5, 2026, priority deadline will receive a guaranteed $30,000 funding package. Applications must be completed and verified with all supporting documents by the priority deadline.
This package includes:
- A $25,000 tuition scholarship
- A $5,000 applied practice experience award
