Program Overview

The fully online MPH in Behavioral, Social and Health Education Sciences (BSHES) prepares students to be public health researchers and practitioners dedicated to creating meaningful social change and improving population health. In this flexible, online program, students receive intensive training on behavioral and social science theories, methods of health promotion, intervention planning and design, program evaluation and data analysis, and principles of community engagement.

Funding

Funding Your Online MPH in BSHES

All students who apply by the January 5, 2026, priority deadline and are admitted will receive a guaranteed $30,000 funding package. Applications must be completed and verified with all supporting documents by the priority deadline.

This package includes:

  • A $25,000 tuition scholarship
  • A $5,000 applied practice experience award

Guaranteed funding is available as long as funds remain and applies to fall 2026 admissions for the term in which a student begins the program. Students who qualify for more than one institutional award will automatically receive the award of the highest value. To maintain their funding, students simply need to remain in good academic standing. 

Guaranteed funding is available to full-time students only. Employees receiving Emory tuition benefits are not eligible.
