The DrPH in Applied AI and Data Translation prepares experienced public health professionals to lead in an increasingly data-driven and technologically advanced landscape. As artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced analytics become integral to public health practice, this concentration equips students with the skills to analyze, interpret, and effectively communicate complex data to inform evidence-based strategies, policies, programs, and interventions.

The DrPH in Leadership for Public Health Policy is designed to prepare mid- to senior-level professionals to lead transformative change across health systems, government agencies, nonprofits, and global health organizations. It emphasizes developing the advanced leadership and policy analysis skills needed to address complex public health challenges and advance health equity at the local, national, and global levels. Students will gain a deep understanding of the political, economic, and social forces that shape public health systems.

Students in the JD/MPH program learn to advocate and create public health programs and policies and develop expertise in public health related legal issues.

A graduate might work for a government or nongovernment organization developing policy and/or drafting legislation and regulations for food fortification, population planning and control, improving the status of women, protecting the human rights of refugees, or other similar domestic or global public health matters. Alternatively, the graduate might work as a lawyer specializing in protecting the rights of disabled individuals, as general counsel in a public or private hospital, as a lawyer or legal adviser for a state or federal public health agency, or in a similar capacity.

The MA in Bioethics/MPH program trains a select group of students in the intersection of public health and bioethics. This dual degree program prepares students to speak to both the individual and community interests in health care in order for them to be better prepared to enter the contemporary health care field. Graduates will be well qualified to work in public health to help set priorities for pandemics or other allocations of scarce resources, to set public policy for health departments or states on access to health care, or to conduct education on the ethical foundations of public health practice.

Public health professionals who hold both MDiv and MPH degrees are trained to work in public health within the context of religious institutions, applying religious and theological knowledge to enhance health programs for special populations.

The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing and Rollins collaborate in a dual-degree MSN/MPH program to prepare professional nurses for leadership roles in health care. The MSN/MPH program combines advanced nursing knowledge and clinical nursing skills with public health knowledge to prepare future nurses for leadership roles as they deliver care to at-risk individuals and communities.
