The Certificate in Humanitarian Emergencies combines the teaching and research strength of Emory University with the applied technical skills of the CDC's Emergency Response and Recovery Branch. This certificate is available to qualified Rollins students, but students from other Emory graduate health schools may participate in certificate classes on a case-by-case basis.
View Program Students in the Certificate in Infectious Disease Epidemiology program will learn how to apply epidemiological methods to study and address infectious diseases and critically assess the science and public health interventions for infectious disease control. Students in this program develop the skills and expertise they need to be competitive for challenging epidemiological careers or to pursue a doctoral degree in the field.
View Program The Certificate in Injury and Violence Prevention uses an interdisciplinary approach to train and mentor graduate students enrolled at Emory University. Students in this program have the unique experience to prepare for leadership positions in the injury, violence, and overdose prevention field. The program covers topics such as epidemiology, policy development, and program evaluation, equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to make a difference and preparing them for a range of careers in public health.
View Program The Certificate in Maternal and Child Health (MCH) at Rollins equips students to become professionals in governmental and non-governmental public health organizations serving women, infants, and children at local, regional, national, and international levels.
View Program The Certificate in Mental Health addresses the interface of mental health and public health and is intended to enhance the competencies of students concentrating in any of the school’s departmental programs. Students completing the program will be able to describe the epidemiologic burden of mental illness on society, apply theories and evaluate empirical evidence on determinants of mental health, design and critique interventions intended to promote mental health, and identify the sources of financing and public policies that affect mental health services.
View Program The Certificate in Religion and Health provides an opportunity for the interdisciplinary study of health and health-promoting practices as they intersect with the various religious or spiritual traditions and practices. Through the integration of perspectives from a variety of disciplines in the health and social sciences, particularly those in nursing, public health, theology and religion, students will develop theories and practices in which the personal, communal, and social dimensions of health intersect.

View Program The Certificate in Social Determinants of Health is designed to create an intellectual and professional home for Rollins students who have a strong scholarly commitment to studying and intervening in the social determinants of health. This certificate program may be of particular interest to students who are committed to supporting community well-being by advancing social justice and eradicating health disparities.
View Program The Certificate in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) is offered through the Center for Global Safe Water at Emory University and aims to train graduate students to be competitive for WASH-related careers. This is a rigorous self-guided certificate program open to all Rollins students.
