
Bio
Melissa Chapnick, RD, MS, MPH, is a doctoral candidate in the Nutrition and Health Sciences PhD program at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health. She studies how epigenetics links childhood nutrition to adult health and aging using data from the Institute of Nutrition of Central America and Panama (INCAP) Nutrition Supplementation Cohort. Ms. Chapnick is mentored by Dr. Aryeh Stein and is a former METRIC T32 fellow.
Prior to her doctoral training, Melissa Chapnick was the Research Manager for the E3 Nutrition Lab at Washington University in St. Louis, where she supported projects aimed at improving maternal and infant nutrition in Haiti, Ecuador, and Kenya. She is a Registered Dietitian and holds a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Master of Public Health, both from Saint Louis University.
