
Mahmud, MPH, MS, is a doctoral student in epidemiology at the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University. His research interests include population-level vaccine impact evaluation, infectious disease modeling, and vaccine clinical trials.
Prior to starting his PhD at Emory, Mahmud worked as an epidemiologist for EpiDriver, covering the African region. Mahmud has previous experience in large-scale vaccine clinical trials in Africa and Latin America, supporting clinical operations for Covid-19, influenza, chikungunya, dengue, RSV, and Ebola vaccines. He has also supported the design of health and demographic surveillance studies for the Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance (CHAMPS)-Sierra Leone.
