Bio
I received my PhD in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. I describe myself as a reproductive epidemiologist with methodologic interests. My most recent research has focused on fertility and other women's health issues in cancer survivors, women with lupus, and women with sickle cell disease. I enjoy exploring how to address sources of bias that arise in applied studies. In addition, I am interested in how to teach epidemiologic concepts. I teach Advanced Epidemiology Methods II (EPI 545) and have organized several symposium on teaching epidemiology at annual meetings of the Society of Epidemiologic Research. I previously served as the Director of Graduate Studies for the Epidemiology PhD Program and continue to be interested in mentoring students.
