Sarah Qabazard is currently a 3rd year PhD student in the Nutrition and Health Sciences program at Emory University. Her research interests focus on complex data analysis of national health surveys and birth cohorts, and interested in epidemiology of diabetes and cardiometabolic disorders (obesity, hypertension, cardiovascular disease).
Before coming to Emory, Sarah was a senior research assistant in the Population Health department at the Dasman Diabetes Institute in Kuwait City, Kuwait. Her role involved collecting, cleaning and analyzing data, and assisting in writing grant proposals and manuscripts. Sarah is also involved in major population health studies in Kuwait such as the Kuwait National Diabetes Registry (KNDR), Kuwait National Population Health Survey (KNPHS), and the Childhood-Onset Diabetes electronic Registry (CODeR).
