Emory Rollins School of Public Health

Noah Mancuso (he/him) is a PhD student and Laney Graduate School Fellow in the Department of Epidemiology at Emory University.

His research centers on infectious diseases and the health and well-being of sexual and gender minorities. More specifically, Noah is interested in addressing disparities in HIV prevention, HIV treatment, and general sexual health using an intersectional and interdisciplinary lens. He has a strong background in both quantitative and qualitative research with a growing interest in implementation science, mHealth, and geospatial analyses. 

Prior to starting his PhD, Noah recieved a BA in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and in Global Health from Duke University via the Robertson Scholars Leaderhsip Program. After gradaution, Noah worked in Malawi with the Ministry of Health on several HIV network trials before joining RTI International in the Women's Global Health Imperative where his research continues to focus on HIV in Malawi, South Africa, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. He recently graduated from Emory's Rollins School of Public Health with an MSPH in Global Epidemiology and a Certifice in Infectious Disease Epidemiology. During his time at Rollins, Noah worked as a Global Epidemiology and Surveilance Fellow with the CDC helping conduct and analyze national biobehaviorial surveys among sex workers, MSM, and TGW in Uganda and conducted research on cervical cancer co-occurence among women living with HIV in Kenya. He recently founded the Queer Health Collaborative (QHC), a health consulting company focused on the inclusion of LGBTQ+ people in research and improving the quality of health for queer people everywhere.
