Bio

Joey Hunt is a 1st year PhD Student in the Epidemiology Department at the Rollins School of Public Health. Before Emory, she recieved a BA in Sociology with a minor in Medical Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Joey then received an Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA) from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIH/NIAID). As an IRTA Fellow, she worked in the International HIV/STI Section at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, employing molecular epidemiologic methods to evaluate infectious disease outcomes.
