Bio

Charlotte is a PhD student in the Department of Epidemiology focusing on the use of mathematical models to understand the transmission dynamics of infectious diseases and evaluate interventions to prevent disease. Current projects include statistical algorithms for etiological attribution of enteric pathogens, social mixing studies to inform models of disease transmission, and modelling direct and indirect effects of tuberculosis vaccination. She received her M.Sc. in Epidemiology from Boston University School of Public Health in 2021, earning the Epidemology Academic Excellence Award, and her B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 2017 with majors in mathematics and molecular/cellular biology. Most recently, Charlotte worked as a Senior Research Scientist at ConcertAI, a real-world data and evidence company specializing in cancer outcomes research. Her projects included work in pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacovigilance, and disparities research. Prior to her role at ConcertAI, Charlotte worked with the Department of Veterans Affairs coordinating center for the All of Us Research Program, an NIH prospective cohort program aimed at enrolling one million participants, particularly those previously underrepresented in biomedical research, to accelerate biomedical and epidemiological research in the field of precision health.
