Carol  Liu

Instructor

Carol Liu is a PhD student in epidemiology. Her research work focuses on understanding social mixing and human mobility patterns in the context of infection transmission. She is interested in using mathematical models that incorporate an improved quantification of mixing and mobility to estimate the impact of interventions for infection control and prevention. Prior to Emory, Carol worked in field-based global health in Sub-Saharan Africa where she supported national infectious disease programs with epidemiological research and built evaluation platforms for aid programs in conflict zones.
