Ben Cousineau, M.S., is a doctoral candidate in the Nutrition & Health Sciences PhD Program at the Rollins School of Public Health. His research focuses on the relationship between plant-based dietary patterns and cancer and cardiometabolic disease mortality. For his dissertation, Ben collaborates with the American Cancer Society, utilizing data from the Cancer Prevention Study II cohort to explore these associations.
Before pursuing his PhD in nutrition at Emory, Ben's academic and professional background was in kinesiology and health. He spent several years as an Exercise Physiologist for Duly Health and Care's Cardiology Department in the Chicago suburbs. He holds an M.S. in Kinesiology and Health from the University of Wyoming and a B.S. in Sport Science from Northern Michigan University.
