Boisfeuillet Jones Public Health Scholarship
Established by the family of Boisfeuillet Jones, Sr., who served as an assistant professor of political science, dean of administration, and vice president of health services at Emory. The Boisfeuillet Jones Public Health Scholarship provides support for an outstanding student to pursue an MPH or MSPH degree.
Bruce A. Fowler Scholarship in Environmental Health
Established by Dr. Bruce A. Fowler, a toxicologist, academic, and author, who has served as an adjunct professor of Environmental Health at Rollins since 2009, the Bruce A. Fowler Scholarship in Environmental Health provides support to Rollins students with a preference for outstanding students in Environmental Health.
Cari J. Clark Global Scholarship
Established by Dr. Cari Jo Clark, an associate professor in the Hubert Department of Global Health, and her husband, Dr. Alvaro Alonso, a professor in the Department of Epidemiology and the Stephen D. Clements, Jr. Chair in Cardiovascular Disease Prevention at Emory, the Cari J. Clark Global Scholarship is awarded to promising MPH or MSPH students, with a preference for international students.
Cecelia D. ‘65C and James L. Ferman Jr. ‘65B Scholarship
Given in honor of longtime Rollins School of Public Health supporters Lawrence P. and Ann Estes Klamon '65C '76L, the Cecelia D. and James L. Ferman Jr. Scholarship provides support to MPH/MSPH students.
Celeste Bottorff Endowment for Rollins Earn and Learn (REAL) Program
Established by Rollins Dean’s Council member Celeste Bottorff, this first endowment for the REAL program helps provide additional opportunities for students to gain career experience in the field of public health.

Charles C. Shepard Scholarship
Dr. Charles Shepard was a distinguished scientist and early, enthusiastic supporter of the MPH program at Emory. He is internationally recognized for his breakthroughs in leprosy research and his significant additions to the world's knowledge of Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Q fever, and Legionnaires' disease. Established by the family and friends of Charles C. Shepard, this scholarship is awarded to an outstanding MPH/MSPH applicant to the Department of Epidemiology.
Charles T. and Sue K. Hardman Scholarship
The Charles T. and Sue K. Hardman Scholarship is awarded to an MPH or MSPH student based on outstanding promise.
Claire E. Sterk Scholarship Endowment Fund
Established by Dr. Claire E. Sterk, Emory University president emerita and a Charles Howard Candler Professor of Public Health in the Department of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences, and her husband, Dr. Kirk W. Elifson, this scholarship provides support to MPH/MSPH students with a preference for students with a demonstrated interest in addressing the public health challenges related to addiction.

The C. Randolph Jones Scholarship was given in honor of Kathryn Heath Graves 93MPH, senior associate dean for development and external relations, to provide support to MPH/MSPH students with an interest in mental health.
David J. Sencer, MD, MPH Scholarship Fund
This scholarship honors the distinguished career of Dr. David J. Sencer, a founding father of the Rollins School of Public Health and former CDC director. Established by his family, the David J. Sencer, MD, MPH Scholarship Fund provides support for mid-career state and local public health department professionals seeking an MPH. Recipients of this scholarship exemplify leadership and outstanding service in their field.
Dean's Council Scholarship
The Dean's Council Scholarship is given annually to the most outstanding applicants to the MPH or MSPH program.
Donna J. Brogan Endowed Scholarship in Biostatistics
Established by Dr. Donna Brogan, professor emeritus in both the Emory School of Medicine and the Rollins School of Public Health, the Donna J. Brogan Endowed Scholarship in Biostatistics provides support to outstanding first-year or second-year students seeking the MPH or MSPH degree in biostatistics and bioinformatics.

Established to honor Dr. Kathy Miner's lifetime of dedication to public health education and practice, the Dr. Kathleen R. Miner Scholarship for Health Education Excellence is awarded to an outstanding second-year student pursuing an MPH, with preference given to those in the Department of Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences.
Elizabeth L. Camp, RN, MPH Endowed Scholarship for Nurses
Given in honor of Elizabeth Camp ‘83PH, a nurse consultant and educator who was a strong advocate for public health practice, this scholarship provides tuition support for qualified students who are professional, licensed registered nurses and are seeking an MPH degree or dual MSN/MPH degree.
Emory Woman’s Club Scholarship - RSPH
The Emory Woman's Club Scholarship - RSPH provides support to a rising second-year student who has contributed to women's health, has career goals that align to women's health, is dedicated to improving the health of women, and has financial need.
Eugene J. and Rose S. Gangarosa Scholarship Fund for Global Safe WASH
Established by Dr. Eugene J. and Rose S. Gangarosa, the Eugene J. and Rose S. Gangarosa Scholarship Fund for Global Safe WASH provides support for incoming students with a demonstrated interest in safe water, sanitation and hygiene, or students pursuing the Certificate in Global Safe WASH.
Ferman Public Health Scholarships
The two Ferman Public Health Scholarships were established by Cecelia D. and James L. Ferman, Jr. to honor Lawrence P. and Ann Estes Klamon, longtime supporters of the Rollins School of Public Health, and in honor of Emeritus Dean James W. Curran. Each scholarship provide support to an MPH or MSPH student.
Golson Family Scholarship
Alisa Long Golson ‘98MPH and Brian P. Golson created the Golson Family Scholarship to support MPH students, with a preference for students in the Health Policy and Management Department.
Hahn-Swanson Family Scholarship
Established by Emory alumni Carolyn S. Hahn-Swanson 87N 87MPH and Howard C. Swanson 97B to support students pursuing graduate education at Emory, the Hahn-Swanson Family Scholarship provides support for students who have demonstrated the capacity for leadership in and service to public health. When possible, recipients will be students in the MSN/MPH or MBA/MPH programs.
Hinman-Carlson Family Scholarship
Created by Rollins alumni Johanna Hinman ‘98MPH and Lisa Carlson ‘93MPH, along with their parents, the Hinman-Carlson Family Scholarship provides support to students pursuing an MPH or MSPH degree.
Hogue/Hargraves Maternal Child Health (MCH) Internship
Established by Carol J.R. Hogue, PhD, and L. Lynn Hogue, PhD, the Hogue/Hargraves MCH Internship is awarded to outstanding students with a demonstrated interest in maternal and child health to enable the pursuit of internships or careers in the field.

The Hubert Family Scholarship was established by longtime Rollins supporters Richard N. Hubert and his wife, Dr. Linda Lentz Hubert, as a tribute to the research and leadership of K.M. Venkat Narayan, MD, founder and co-director of the Emory Global Diabetes Research Center. The scholarship provides financial support for MPH or PhD students, with a preference for students who have a demonstrated interest in diabetes prevention research.

Jacob R. Dee Scholarship
The Jacob R. Dee Scholrship was established by Kim Del Guercio 10PH and Brian Braine Sperry in memory of their dear friend and Rollins alumnus Jacob Robert Dee 10PH. This scholarship provides support to MPH or MSPH students who are working to decolonize global health, international students/fellows who plan to return to their home countries to work, or students working in underserved communities.
James W. Curran Scholarship
Established in 2015 by the Rollins family to celebrate Dean James W. Curran's twentieth anniversary as dean of the Rollins School of Public Health, the James W. Curran Scholarships are one of the largest and most prestigious scholarships offered and are awarded to the most outstanding MPH or MSPH applicants.
Jeff Alperin and Bernardine Brandis Scholarship Endowment
Established by Jeffrey P. Alperin and Bernardine Brandis, the Jeff Alperin and Bernardine Brandis Scholarship was given in memory of M.B. Seretean, an exceptional leader committed to improving the health and well-being of others, and Phyllis Alperin, his sister. The scholarship provides support to outstanding MPH or MSPH students.
Joan P. Cioffi, PhD, and Charles P. Freitas, Jr. Scholarship
Established by Joan Penrose Cioffi, PhD, in honor of her late husband Charles P. Freitas, this scholarship provides support to outstanding MPH or MSPH students, with a preference for students who have a demonstrated interest in humanitarian response or public health services for displaced populations.
J. Rex Fuqua Scholarship
The J. Rex Fuqua Scholarship is awarded annually to support outstanding MPH or MSPH students in the with a demonstrated interest in mental health, including those pursuing the certificate in mental health and those pursuing careers in mental health.
Lawrence P. and Ann Estes Klamon Scholarship
Established by longtime Rollins supporters Lawrence and Ann Klamon, the Lawrence P. and Ann Estes Klamon Scholarship provides funding to the most outstanding students, particularly those interested in pursuing careers in safe water and sanitation.
Lettie Pate Whitehead (LPW) Scholarship
The Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation intends that these scholarships are awarded to deserving female Christian students in the South with financial need and an interest in the health professions. The LPW Scholarship was inspired by the life of Lettie Pate Whitehead Evans, a generous philanthropist and businesswoman who was the wife of Joseph B. Whitehead, one of the original bottlers of Coca-Cola. Lettie Whitehead took over her late husband’s business and real estate interests, guiding both to great success.

M.B. Seretean Scholarship
Established by M.B. Seretean, an outstanding leader committed to improving the health and well-being of others, the M.B. Seretean Scholarship benefits an outstanding MPH, MSPH, or EMPH student, with preference given to one whose focus is nutrition, health, or health education, from non-metropolitan areas of Georgia.
McGowan Family Scholarship
Established in memory of Doris W. and John E. McGowan Sr., MD, the McGowan Family Scholarship provides financial assistance for the costs associated with earning an MD/MPH or a JD/MPH at Emory while they are completing the public health portion of the degree.
Melneck Family Scholarship
Established by Michael Melneck ‘84C ‘86MPH in memory of Gloria J. Melneck, the Melneck Family Scholarship provides support to outstanding MPH or MSPH students.
Nancy J. Thompson Legacy Scholarship Endowment
The Nancy J. Thompson Legacy Scholarship Endowment commemorates the 40-year career of beloved Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences (BSHES) professor and Rollins alumna, Dr. Nancy Thompson ‘71C ‘77MPH. The award provides scholarship support to outstanding MPH or MSPH students in the BSHES department.
Ovid H. Stephenson Scholarship
Established in honor of statistician Ovid Stephenson, this scholarship provides support for MPH or MSPH students, with preference given to those pursuing studies in biostatics and bioinformatics.
Paul D. Coverdell Fellowship
The Paul D. Coverdell Felloshipis offered to applicants who have demonstrated leadership and ongoing commitment to service through their participation in the U.S. Peace Corps. All Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who indicate their service on the SOPHAS application are considered for this fellowship if they meet the priority deadline of January 5th.

Dr. Carlos del Rio, previous chair of the Hubert Department of Global Health (HDGH), and his wife, Dr. Jeannette Guarner, established this fund in honor of former HDGH chair, Dr. Reynaldo Martorell. Dr. Martorell joined the school as Robert W. Woodruff Professor of International Nutrition in 1993 and served 12 years as department chair until 2009. The Reynaldo Martorell Scholarship is awarded to outstanding Hispanic students pursuing an MPH or MSPH degree.

In 1980, Emory University established the Robert W. Woodruff Scholars and Fellows Program to recruit and reward students with exceptional character, scholastic abilities, and leadership qualities. Named for renowned businessman and philanthropist Robert W. This scholarship honors Dr. Thomas Sellers, Jr., former chair of the Department of Community Health in the Emory School of Medicine, who helped pave the way for the establishment of the master of community health program—the forerunner of the MPH program at Emory. The Thomas F. Sellers, Jr. Scholarship provides financial assistance for the costs associated with earning an MPH for students enrolled in Emory’s MD/MPH dual degree program.
Timothy L. Lash Textbooks Scholarship
Established by Dr. Timothy L. Lash, professor and chair of the Department of Epidemiology, this scholarship provides support for outstanding MPH or MSPH students in the Department of Epidemiology. The Timothy L. Lash Textbooks Scholarship was made possible, in part, by proceeds from his books "Applying Quantitative Bias Analysis to Epidemiologic Data, 2nd Edition" and "Modern Epidemiology, 4th Edition".
Todd Family Scholarship
Established by William J. Todd, professor of the practice at the Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech, the Todd Family Scholarship provides support for a Georgia Institute of Technology graduate admitted to Rollins.

William H. Foege Global Health Fellowship Program
In recognition of Dr. William H. Foege’s vast contributions to public health and to Rollins—where he is the Presidential Distinguished Professor Emeritus of International Health—the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation established the William H. Foege Global Health Fellowship Program. The fellowship assists mid-career public health professionals from developing nations interested in pursuing public health careers by providing them with training at Rollins.
