Post Doctoral Fellow, Environmental Health
Dr. Mengyuan Ren received his Ph.D degree in Peking University at the Institute of Reproductive and Child Health, School of Public Health, Peking University. Dr. Ren is fully trained with multi-disciplinaries including epidemiology, biostatistics, bioinformatics, and environmental science. Dr. Ren's research interest includes exploring the effects and mechanisms of environmental factors on maternal and child health using multi-omics approaches, including but are not limited to exposome, microbiome and metabolome. Recently, Dr. Ren focuses on establishing integrated analytical framework on identifying disease-specific sensitive biomarkers among environmental exposures in mixture, and building interpretable prediction models using advanced machine learning algorithms. Dr. Ren deeply participated in establishing an ongoing registry study for people experiencing infertility, which has been registered in China Cohort Consortium platform (project number: CCC2021112202, https://chinacohort.bjmu.edu.cn/project/132/). Dr. Ren also served as a key contributor in establishing the 'ExposomeX' platform (http://www.exposomex.cn/#/home).
