Danielle Giovenco is an epidemiologist and social-behavioral scientist with research expertise in the design and evaluation of novel social and structural interventions to enhance HIV prevention and treatment engagement among priority populations in LMICs. Her research primarily centers on implementing new biomedical HIV prevention strategies among adolescent girls and young women in South Africa, with a focus on addressing barriers related to mental health and intimate partner violence. In addition to her work in prevention, she has explored differentiated service delivery models for HIV care among young people living with HIV in South Africa.
