About CHIMES
CHIMES is a joint collaboration between researchers at Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. It builds on more than a decade of work in stigma and HIV research funded by the NIMH, NINR, NIAID, USAID, CDC, amfAR, and MAC AIDS Foundation.
At CHIMES, we are committed to:
- Advancing stigma measurement to better understand its impact on mental health and HIV outcomes
- Designing and evaluating stigma interventions to dismantle structural barriers and improve health equity
- Building a global network of emerging and established researchers to expand research capacity and accelerate progress in stigma mitigation. The Center is funded by the National Institutes of Health.
