Kelly Jordan
Bio
Kelly Jordan is the editorial director at the Rollins School of Public Health. She is an award-winning writer and editor with a deep passion for impactful storytelling. At Rollins, she leads editorial projects for the school. This includes serving as editor-in-chief of Rollins Magazine; guiding editorial content for the Rollins News Center; reviewing all web and social media content from the school's main accounts; and fact-checking Health Wanted episodes. She provides communication advisement for faculty, staff, and students, and co-teaches the Fundamentals of Public Health Communication (EPI 503) each fall.
She is a 2025-2026 participant in Emory University's Excellence Through Leadership program.
Prior to coming to higher ed, Jordan worked as a contract writer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and as a writer and editor for several magazine outlets. Her byline has appeared in dozens of regional and national publications including Atlanta Magazine, Redbook, Southern Living, Paste, and USA Today. She is also a published children's author.
Jordan holds a master’s degree in communication and a strategic communication certificate from Purdue University, and a bachelor of arts in journalism with a magazine emphasis from the University of Georgia.
