Robert Merritt

Bio

Robert Merritt is a Teaching Professor and Health Policy and Management Scholar in the Department of Health Policy and Management (HPM). He is a graduate of Washington and Lee University, Emory University and The University of the South (Sewanee) where he received academic training in sociology & anthropology, medical sociology, public health, and research methods & statistics. His research and teaching career has spanned over 40 years with positions at Washington and Lee University, the Smithsonian Institution (SI), Emory University, Georgia State University (GSU), Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, University of Florida, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). He is a Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA) and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
