Bio

Courtney R. Yarbrough is a Rollins Assistant Professor of Health Policy and Management. Her research focus is health policy and the economics of health care. She specializes in pharmaceutical markets, analyzing the effects of public policies on the price and utilization of prescription drugs, especially in the Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Benefit. She conducts research on policies directed at substance abuse with particular focus on opioid prescribing and access to treatment for substance use disorders. She also has research interests in the social determinants health, examining the impact of community social capital on health outcomes.
