Aliki Pappas Weakland is a mission-driven public health executive with over two decades of experience leading complex, high-impact initiatives across federal, nonprofit, and global consulting environments. She brings strategic foresight, policy acumen, and a deep understanding of organizational effectiveness to board service. Pappas Weakland currently serves as associate director for policy, planning and communication in CDC’s Office of Readiness and Response, where she leads agency-wide efforts to align strategic priorities and drive cross-sector initiatives that enhance national public health readiness. In this role, she oversees multidisciplinary teams and manages high-impact portfolios focused on innovation in emergency preparedness and response.
