Student Instructions
The Rollins School of Public Health degree candidate recognition ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. EDT at the Woodruff Physical Education Center.
The RSPH degree candidate recognition ceremony is a school-specific ceremony designed for Rollins graduates, and the event will follow the latest guidance from local, state, and federal public health agencies. A livestream option will also be available. Please note that participation is optional.
Participants must meet the following requirements to participate in the ceremony:
- Students who have completed all degree requirements in summer 2024, fall 2024, or spring 2025 are eligible to participate.
- Students who have completed all required coursework, but are enrolled in a graduate-in-residence semester to complete outstanding requirements for thesis and/or applied practice experience are also eligible to participate. These students will have an in progress grade posted for the thesis and/or applied practice experience.

Regalia
Buy Regalia In Person
Stop by the second floor of the bookstore starting on Friday, February 21 to purchase this regalia in-store. This regalia will continue to be sold in the bookstore until commencement day, but stock will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis after March 3 and sizes cannot be guaranteed after that date.

Visit https://oakhallcg.com/pages/emory and select "home delivery." Please order your regalia on or before March 31. Regalia ordered between March 31 and April 9 is likely to arrive only days before the ceremony.
Buy Regalia at the Grad Fair
The bookstore will host a grad fair on Friday, February 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the second floor of the bookstore. Students can stop by the bookstore to buy regalia and speak with various graduation-related vendors. Representatives from vendors that sell class rings, class portraits, diploma frames, and more will be in attendance.

2025 Commencement Speakers
Joneigh S. Khaldun, MD, a nationally recognized public health and health care executive, will serve as the 2025 commencement speaker for Rollins.
The student speaker will be Akshay Deverakonda, who will be graduating with an MSPH in Epidemiology and Certificate in Infectious Disease Epidemiology.

Family or Friends with Accessibility Needs
Guests should plan to bring their own mobility equipment, such as wheelchairs or walkers, to the ceremony.
Accessibility seating will be guaranteed to guests whose graduates provided additional guest accessibility information when they submitted their RSVP for the ceremony.
Please note that seating at the degree candidate recognition ceremony at the Woodruff Physical Education Center will not be available until Saturday, May 10, 2025.
Bringing International Family
International visitors typically need a B-2 visa if attending commencement on a short visit to the U.S. For some countries and consulates, an invitation letter from Emory University is required.
