Bio

Mr. Nizam has worked at Emory as a collaborative biostatistician since 1988.  He currently serves as the Director of the Biostatistics Collaboration Core.  He has served as Principal and Co-Investigator on several NIH-sponsored clinical trials and observational studies, serving as lead biostatistician and statistical coordinating center director, and also has experience in infectious disease modeling. He has taught numerous courses in applied biostatistical methods and received RSPH Professor of the Year awards in 1991, 1992, 2000, 2017 and 2024 as well as Emory University's Crystal Apple Award for excellence in teaching in 2002.
