Bio

Danielle (Johnson) Carson is a first-year PhD student in Epidemiology at the Rollins School of Public Health. Her research integrates epidemiology, clinical research, and health technology to advance maternal, perinatal, and child health.


She holds a BS in Public Health and a MSPH in Epidemiology from the University of South Carolina. During her graduate studies, Danielle contributed to statewide antibody point prevalence studies and served as a COVID-19 Junior Epidemiologist for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. After graduation, she further refined her expertise at Johns Hopkins University, contributing to two multi-site HIV cohort studies, which sparked her passion for her current area of research.
