Bio

My broad research interests include social determinants and psychosocial aspects of HIV/AIDS, aging, and women's health. My published research centered on HIV prevention, sexual risk behaviors, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), and aging with HIV among women. My current research interests focus on aging with HIV, and especially successful aging, frailty, falls, and quality of life. I was trained as a sociologist and have expertise in social determinants of health, mixed methods research design, qualitative and quantitative data analyses, data management and database development.
