Molly GuyMolly Guy, MSN, MPH (05GH) – President

Molly Guy is the Senior Director of Public Health at UnitedHealth Group. In this role Molly drives the creation and dissemination of next-generation health promotion/disease prevention strategies and programs.

Earning dual degrees in Global Health and Nursing from Emory in 2005, Molly’s passion and commitment to global health and access to care has continued to grow over the years through her previous roles as Head of Impact and Policy for Medtronic Labs, Principal Clinical Safety Specialist in the Medtronic Clinical Operations group, Clinical Affairs Manager at the Statistical Center for HIV/AIDS Research and Prevention, and as a Registered Nurse at Mayo Clinic.

Currently a resident of Minneapolis, MN, Molly enjoys running, exploring new cities, and baking. She also loves this quote by Danielle Coke: "You were created to do good work. Work that empowers and inspires, liberates and transforms, restores and softens. Yes, work can be hard - as it was meant to be. The verb itself calls us into action, rejecting passivity and demanding sustained effort. It provokes, agitates, and disturbs. So, when you're feeling weary or hopeless or spent, remind yourself that the darkness is being flooded by marvelous light. Yes, this is work. And it is good."

Niles FriedmanNiles Friedman, MPH (98 HPM) - President-Elect

With an emphasis on improving the delivery of government services and instilling an innovation culture, he's launched innovation offices and functions, an Analytics Center of Excellence, and created technology strategic plans for several local, state, federal and international agencies.

He enjoys photography and live sporting events when he's not exploring new cities and countries, and is a proud uncle twice over. Niles splits his time between Los Angeles and Washington, DC.

When asked if he could invent one new course for Rollins students, he answered “ I would create one that practically demonstrates how innovation and technology can improve how public health services are created and delivered to the public. In addition, the course would highlight various US-based and international public-sector movements that are continuing to build a new way for services to be delivered that are human-centered, accessible, and focused on public health outcomes.
