RSPH Alumni Awards Nomination Form

Each year the Rollins School of Public Health recognizes two alumni who are making significant contributions to the field of public health and improving the lives of others. Selection criteria for the awards include:

  • Individual is a graduate of Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health.

  • Individual is making/has made an outstanding contribution to the field of public health at either a community, state, national, or international level.

  • Individual’s contribution(s) have been made subsequent to receiving their degree from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health.

 

Nominations are currently being acepted for the following awards:

  • Distinguished Achievement Award – Presented to a Rollins School of Public Health graduate who has made an outstanding contribution in the field of public health. Given in recognition of career achievement, recipients exemplify a dedication to promoting health and preventing disease.

  • Matthew Lee Girvin Award – Presented to a recent Rollins School of Public Health graduate who, in the early years of his/her career, is making significant contributions to the field of public health and improving the lives of others. This award honors the memory of alumnus, Matthew Lee Girvin 94 MPH who died on a United Nations surveying mission. Eligible recipients will have received their degree within the last 10 years.

Award recipients are chosen upon the recommendation of a special selection committee chaired by the Rollins School of Public Health Alumni Board President and approved by the RSPH Alumni Association Board. All nominations are confidential and will be considered for three years, unless otherwise indicated by the nominee.
