I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Epidemiology with a background in environmental and social epidemiology. Most of my research has focused on health impacts of chemical pollution in water, air, and diet on children's health and chronic conditions. I have a strong interest in broadening the view of "environmental" exposures beyond chemical pollution, and have researched mental health impacts of economic welfare policies and disasters. My dissertation work explores pathways by which certain persistent endocrine-disrupting chemicals may lead to carcinogenesis, including via mediators (e.g., pubertal timing, body composition, epigenetic changes) and effect modifying factors (e.g., life stage at exposure, chronic stress, chemical co-exposures).
