My research focuses on understanding the social determinants of sleep health disparities and their implications for adverse health outcomes including hypertension, cancer, and cognitive decline. Additionally, my research addresses the underlying social and environmental factors contributing to sleep disorders and insufficient sleep among different populations, with a significant emphasis on African American communities. My current research projects include observational and intervention studies to improve sleep health among different populations, particularly those most affected by sleep disturbances.
