Registration has opened for the 2019 Rollins School of Public Health Social Determinants of Health Summer Institute (SDOH)! The 2019 SDOH Summer Institute will offer three courses in May and June:
Multilevel thinking and analysis in the social determinants of health, taught by Dr. Michael Kramer
Participants in this four-day course will develop an understanding of multilevel processes in health, and will learn how to analyze multilevel data using analytical methods in SAS.
Qualitative Data Analysis (in partnership with QUAL-WORKS), taught by Dr. Monique Hennink
Students in this two-and-a-half-day workshop will learn how to effectively analyze, report, and evaluate textual data. Students will also take part in hands-on lab sessions where they will learn how to use a textual data analysis program.
Group randomized trials to address the social determinants of health, taught by Drs. Kelli Komro and Melvin Livingston
Participants in this four-day course will learn how to design and conduct group randomized trials. In this course curriculum, students will also learn how to plan, design, and execute a group randomized trial to address the social determinants of health.
