I received my MPH in Epidemiology from Emory University in 2022. I am currently working as a Research Coordinator with CHIP on the MALLARDS, Mpox, and Mozambique projects. Previously, I received my BA in International Studies, focusing on Human Rights, Conflict Resolution and Public Health in 2013. My research interests include infectious diseases, environmental health and health equity. I have recently fallen in love with implementation science as a means of continuously innovating systems and finding more effective interventions to promote equitable health programming.

Victoria currently works with the CHIP team as the Project Coordinator for CRAINES.
I am a RSPH student majoring in Epidemiology with a Certificate in Genetic & Molecular Epidemiology. I received my BS from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA in 2019. I work with the CHIP team as the Project Coordinator for CRAINES. My research interests are always expanding but I am namely interested in serving underserved and marginalized populations. I am a strong advocate for health equity, social justice, and healthcare reform.
Shanika Kennedy |
Shanika currently serves as the Project Coordinator for SWANSS while working concurrently across the team.
I received my MPH from George Washington University in 2021. At CHIP I currently serve as the Project Coordinator for SWANSS while working concurrently across the team. I received my BS from University of California, Davis in 2018 where I studied Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior and fell in love with the health of underserved and disadvantaged populations. My research interests span several sectors including infectious disease, neurodegenerative illnesses such as Alzheimer’s, healthcare technology, and rural health but rests in disrupting the current climate of health/medicine through the advancement of health disparities amongst those often left behind.

Chava Bowden |
Chava is the CHIP program manager and oversees research projects and students for Dr. Spaulding’s lab.
Chava has over 12 years’ experience overseeing research projects at Emory. She has extensive management experience with both clinical and behavioral health projects related to breast cancer disparities, HIV, TB and emergency preparedness in jails.
