Lauren Bigger
Bio
Lauren Bigger, MPH, is a doctoral candidate in the BSHES department at RSPH. As a Graduate Research Assistant with the EPRC she has contributed to several large-scale research and evaluation projects, including Smoke-Free Homes, Healthy Homes/Healthy Families, The Two Georgias Initiative, and NOURISH, supporting study design, data collection, qualitative and mixed methods analysis and translation of findings for practice. Her dissertation leverages data from The Two Georgias Initiative, to examine how community context shapes the implementation of policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) change strategies.
She holds a Master of Public Health from Northeastern University, where she utilized qualitative research methods to examine food insecurity screening and referral systems in community-based healthcare settings. In previous roles, she served as a Project Coordinator and Lead Research Assistant on NIH- and NIOSH-funded studies and as an Assistant Instructor in Northeastern University’s MPH program. Her broader research interests focus on theory-driven chronic disease prevention and the application of implementation science to support the design and sustainment of community-based strategies that advance health equity.
