Bio

Evelyn Henry, BS, is a second-year MPH student in the Epidemiology department at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Business Administration. While at the University of Florida, Evelyn served as the captain of the Gators Dazzlers, the official dance team of the Florida Gators. As a student-athlete, she had the opportunity to perform at numerous sporting events, choreograph and lead daily practices, and serve as an ambassador for the University in the Gainesville community. Prior to joining the Emory Prevention Research Center (EPRC), Evelyn worked as a Program Assistant in the Office of Readiness and Response at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In this role, Evelyn conducted a review of ten CDC risk assessments to identify the threats/gaps that exist in the preparedness and response landscape and presented her findings to CDC Senior Leadership in May 2025. At the EPRC, Evelyn works with the Building Capacity Grant Team to recruit patients from Emory Hospital and Grady Clinic for participation in two behavioral intervention studies that are aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals with epilepsy. Her research interests include infectious diseases, chronic disease management, and health equity.
