Berit Oxley
Bio
Berit Oxley, BS, is a first-year MPH student in the BSHES department at the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University. Berit graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Global Disease Biology and a minor in Communication in June 2025. Her research interests include health misinformation, social media and AI effects on health behavior, and substance use among young adults. Berit works on Dr. Dae-Hee Han’s Nicotine Pouch Use Study as a graduate research assistant, where she is responsible for conducting eligibility screenings, informed consent procedures, and laboratory data collection for the double-blind clinical experiment. She also coordinates participant recruitment and visit logistics for the study. Aside from her position with the EPRC, Berit is pursuing a certificate in science communication and serves as an RSPH student ambassador.
