Bio

Angela Zhang, MPH, is a Project Manager in the Emory Precision Public Health Research Program, where she explores the application of emerging genomic science to promote cancer prevention and care. She currently leads the Family Cancer History Screening project, which aims to expand access to BRCA-associated cancer screening in rural Georgia. She also played a key role on EPRC’s Smoke-Free Homes 5A project, where she supported data collection and analysis, presented findings at national conferences, and co-authored manuscripts focused on reducing secondhand smoke exposure through evidence-based home interventions. Previously, Ms. Zhang coordinated the Healthy Food Retail Project at Emory, investigating factors that influence healthy food and beverage availability in small food retail settings. She also served as a key liaison for the Atlanta Nutrition Security Surveillance Project, gathering community-level data to inform strategies for improving access to nutritious foods. Ms. Zhang earned her Master of Public Health in Health Behavior from the University of North Carolina’s Gillings School of Global Public Health in 2021. Her interests include qualitative research, community engagement, and the development, implementation, and evaluation of public health interventions.
